About the Author:

Hi I’m Alex, I started All Things Design in 2013 during my undergraduate Architectural studies as a blog of my own design interests and luckily others seemed to find it interesting too! It has lead to some wonderful collaborations, invitation to speak at events and a way to meet like minded people.

Since 2013 life has changed a lot – I travelled (and continue to travel) the world, worked in industry, taught in Architectural school,  completed my Masters and Professional Diploma in Architecture (Now a fully qualified Architect!), moved to China and settled down (for now) in Hong Kong!

Whilst my official job title on LinkedIn is ‘Senior Architect’ at the wonderful company Hassell,  I have now expanded my hobby as an Artist into my side hustle, I write, occasionally I teach and also carry out Interior Architecture private projects.

As I move between each of these areas I find it difficult and restricting being labelled as one particular thing, so I like to think of myself as ‘ A creative’. Sometime Architect, sometimes Artist, sometimes writer and sometimes all at the same time! Through this thinking the name of this studio was born – All Things Design.  Here you will find information for commissions, my gallery, shop and my blog.
